Mesothelioma is a type of cancer, which is rather rare and is caused by a number of malignant cells in the body's protective layer known as mesolithelium. The mesolithelium covers many of the body moving within and consists of two layers of cells. The inner layer is in direct contact with the body, while the other level is a sac-like coverage outside the institution. In between two layers of cells is a lubricant substance that allows movement of the body without friction. For example, allows the beaten the heart and the expansion and contraction of the lungs.
